Chapter 1 Excerpt:Lord, I Am Made Whole By My Experiences

Wouldn’t life be so much better if we could tell God how to do His job? Or maybe we could assist Him or give Him some advice on how to deal with our issues. Wouldn’t we simply make sure we avoided much of the pain, sorrow, and disappointment life brought? The answer is a resounding yes! Avoiding hardship, pain, and heartache would be our primary solution in dealing with everything that life brings our way. If we could just sit back and live in complete harmony and joy, wouldn’t that be wonderful? Who wouldn’t want this kind of life?

Unfortunately, the world in which we live doesn’t allow this type of ease. We call this kind of world imaginary, make-believe, or a fairy tale. Fairy tales are fables created for children with the illusion that the world is an ideal and wonderful place, a place, where there is no care or worry, and a place that is free or exempt from negative external influences.

The truth of the matter is the world in which we live can be disappointing and cruel with plenty of let downs. Yet, depending on our attitude, the world can also be a place of limitless successes, great achievements, abundant blessings, and untold happiness. Each day that God blesses us to experience is a day in which some type of lesson is going to be taught. The question is: Are we willing to learn? Many times we ask God, “Why? Why must we endure the things we do?” By nature, we do not embrace new experiences because most experiences require us to give something of ourselves.

The truth is we don’t want to give anything without a guarantee of a return. We are not willing to surrender, submit, and give God what He asks for in the midst of our circumstances. We must remember that when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we placed ourselves under His authority, His care, and His direction. Laying down our will and yielding to God’s will must come from a heart that has complete trust and confidence in His ability to sustain every situation, and resolve every conflict.

When we face a trying dilemma, our question should be, “What is God trying to say to us and teach us?” In life’s experiences, if we learn the lessons that God is attempting to teach and convey to us, we will gain valuable understanding, which makes us comprehend more clearly what is happening and why. Oftentimes, we do not like how God picks those experiences for us.

There are some experiences in life that I can’t go through because God knows my makeup, temperament, and personality; the same with you. Some experiences are more difficult to handle than others; yet God, in His infinite wisdom, knows exactly the kind of experiences each of us can bear.

1. What motivated you to become a writer?

I've always loved reading and for me writing is a natural extension of that love. My writings began with my own personal journals. I never thought I would ever pursue publication, but a few precious women helped change my mind. One was a patient who presented to my office during a particularly busy day. I just did not have the time to spend with her that I desired. That night I thought, "I wish I had something I could have given her that shared my heart on her issues." From that I started putting together ideas for handouts to use at the office and it just escalated from there into a book.

2. In Set Free to Live Free, you address not only patient’s physical issues but also their emotional and spiritual ones. To be able to give this type of guidance it seems like you would need longer than normal appointments with your patients. How much time do you set aside for appointments?

My office operates like most medical offices in that appointments are set at 15-30 minute intervals depending on the type of appointment. Every patient visit does not have the dynamics of those discussed in the book. There are quick visits for acute issues as well as longer visits where I manage chronic medical issues for my patients. During all visits I pay attention to the non-verbal language of my patients. I ask pointed questions based on my observations and see if a patient is ready to discuss further those areas. Some will be receptive leading to an extended visit and some will still have their personal walls up cutting our time short. So for every visit that goes over 10 minutes there is usually a corresponding visit that will be under the allotted time. It all just seems to work out in the end.

3. Was there a section or chapter of Set Free to Live Free that was more difficult for you to write? If so, why?

The section on balance (chapters 9 and 10) was definitely the most difficult for me to write. Balance is an area I am still working through myself, so it was as if I had to take a dose of my own medicine with each word. A much needed dose I must add. I think learning how to balance family and career is one of the hardest things a working mom faces. When I finally got to the point of writing Chapter 10 I had a hard time wording what I was feeling. So instead of just talking about what I was feeling I began that chapter actually describing the feelings as an analogy. Sharing your raw emotions has a healing quality of its own. It began as the hardest chapter to write and ended as the one that gave me the most joy and peace.

4. There are many practical responses recommended in Set Free to Live Free. Do you recommend women go through the book on their own, join a study group, or go to a counselor for help in implementing the principles on a deeper level?

It really depends on the woman. I've had women come to me that have such a difficult time with self-disclosure that they would do best beginning the process alone (or one on one with a counselor) and then branch out to a group setting. I love small groups and I wrote the book with small groups in mind. It's beneficial to be with other women who are going through similar issues. You can build each other up and support each other. I would love to see little Diamond Societies popping up all over with women bound together in God's love and a shared journey to living free.

5. What’s next for your writing pursuits?

That's a great question but I don't have an answer for it! I do not currently have any other books penned. Of course I have some ideas and other areas I feel strongly about, but Set Free to Live Free is the book which discusses the issue I'm most passionate about: women living a flourishing and fulfilled life in Christ. For now I'm just thankful for the opportunity to share it with others and elaborate on applying it’s principles through online webinar bible studies and e-newsletter devotionals.

What made you decide to pursue being a radio host?

Radio is my background. I received my degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Radio/TV broadcasting from Jackson State University. While in college, I began working in radio and I had so much fun. I worked at a radio station in Jackson, Mississippi called KIXIE 107.5 FM. After college in 1993, I returned home to Atlanta to take a job at WIGO 1340 AM. I was working as a news reporter. That job was short lived because I came to work one day, actually three months after I had started, and the doors to the station were bolted and the radio station had been shut down. From there, I tapped into my minor degree, which was English, and I began teaching.

What do you enjoy about the Blogtalk Radio Platform?

I’ll be honest. I have never really explored other avenues. Blog Talk Radio was just the one I found first, after deciding to get back into radio. There are a lot of platforms out there. I do like that other people from around the world can pick up my podcasts from itunes absolutely FREE.

What are your other favorite social media platforms and why?

Right now I am visibly on Facebook with a fan page, LinkedIn, Google+, and Twitter. It’s a lot of work to manage them all but I have to say, I like Facebook and Twitter the most. I am still trying to master how to engage my Facebook following, however, Twitter is just as fun and interactive, too. The main thing to remember with social media is to be patient with yourself and focus on your goal not everyone else’s goal; that can be a distraction and it can be discouraging. Social Media is a bit of a learning curve for me, but I believe if you are wiling to learn, you can succeed at anything.

My new release, Lonely Hearts, is a sweet Christian romance about one lonely mother, two matchmaking kids, and three eligible bachelors. Oh yes. And apple pie!

Have you published anything previously?
Thank you for asking! Yes, Lonely Hearts is my second romance novel. My first, The Price of Trust, was released in May 2010. If any of your readers are interested, they can get a sneak peek here.

When did you know you wanted to write?
To be one hundred percent honest, I’ve just always written. I never thought or even considered writing professionally as it was something I just loved to do. When I finished my first, full length book, The Price of Trust, I was excited and told my husband about it. He asked what I was planning on doing with it, and I said printing it out and hiding it away until our kids were older. He asked me to try to have it published, and the rest is history. Since then, I’ve been hooked!

What made you decide to write romance?
I am an incurable romantic. There’s just something about reading how a couple come together that makes me sigh and dream. But, with that said, I’m not one for edgy or graphic books. I’m super picky about what I read, so if it’s inappropriate for my children to read, it’s not in my house.

Do you keep a writing schedule?
I suppose I’m rather eclectic in that matter. I find my best writing comes when everyone is in bed and I can let my imagination run free.

What do you do when you’re not writing?
I’m either homeschooling our children, sewing, or reading a book to review.

Name your three favorite books.
My three favorite books would have to be Jane Eyre, Pride & Prejudice, and 101 Dalmatians. When I was growing up, I absolutely tore my paperback copy of 101 Dalmatians up.

Name your three favorite authors.
Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Charles Dickens, and C.S. Lewis. Just to name a few…

What’s coming up in your writing future?
My Christian romance/suspense series was just picked up by TreasureLine Publishing, so we’re super excited about that! At this point, it’s a three book series, but a fourth is possible.

The first book in the series, Choosing to Love, is about a young woman that is tricked into marrying the wrong man. Book Two continues the saga in – Intent to Harm, and Book Three – Death by Obituary wraps up the story.

1: How was PPM birthed/ come to pass?

PPM was birthed July 2010. I had just come from a book signing in Atlanta, and as soon as I got home, it was placed in my spirit to start a magazine. I had no desire to be involved with magazines like that. But, when God placed it upon me, I knew I had to be obedient. I had constantly asked the Lord to bless me with my own business prior to Him placing the magazine in my spirit. I didn’t think it was going to be a magazine, though. I wanted to own a café or a bakery, lol.

2: Did you ever see yourself at the helm of a magazine as a CEO?

Oh no. In fact, about a year and 3 months ago, I would have flat out told others that doing a magazine wasn’t my calling. As mentioned, my heart was being the owner of a Café or Bakery because I loved to bake. Besides that, I love to write. So, I thought being an author and writing Inspirational and Encouraging books was what I would be never guessing I would be the CEO of a magazine.

3: How do you maintain a Christian Magazine/Business in what seems
to be a faithless society?

The world really needs encouragement, inspiration, and definitely the true Word of God. All though society seems faithless, in society there are lost souls and even hurt souls that the Lord is concerned deeply about. He wants them to know He’s still in there with them, and He wants to show Himself. He also wants to make aware His Servants (Men and Women of God)who are around working hard for the Kingdom!

4: How do you choose the subjects that appear in the magazine and the
individuals that you feature?

I pray and seek out Men and Women both on a local, state, national and international level, based on what they do, the information they send in and background checks of course….lol.If they are walking in their Purpose and touching lives in their communities or even in the church, they have an opportunity to be featured. Most of the features we get are doing such an awesome job. The subject speaks for itself...

5: How do you manage to run a magazine and find time for your family
and to spend time with God?

Honestly speaking, it took a while for me to get to that point. When you first start something, you’re so excited and want things to be on point. The problem is: if God gives you something, then you have to wait on Him to move forward. There were times when God had to speak to me and tell me I needed to slow it down. God definitely keeps me in check and now it’s easier to manage family and spending time with God. He showed me the schedule I should be on in which I worship the Lord, spend time with my family, and then business.

6: Where do you see PPM headed in the future? What direction is God
leading the magazine?

I see PPM being an International magazine, and I know that’s what a lot of people say because that’s just a big dream. But, the faith I have in God andin the promise in which He has given me. I have faith that this is going to happen. So,“International” is where I see PPM in the future….Having a PPM in different countries featuring their own Men and Women of God!

7: What words of inspiration could you give to someone who is either
just starting their own magazine or dreams of starting one?

People may think I’m weird when they ask this question. Normally, you would give a professional standard instruction in how to start a magazine in which you could probably find on Google….lol. But, prayer and ensuring this is what God wants you to do is what I advise. And if it’s something you want to do, definitely still pray that God would put favor on your publication. God will give us our heart’s desire, but we have to put His work first, of course. So, pray, seek God, and have faith that your publication will be successful. Statistics tell us that most publications won’t last past one year, if even that long. Oh, and also as mentioned earlier, you can still research so you’ll also know what to expect from the economy side.

8: What have you learned during this process that has proven to be
beneficial to you?

Never giving up no matter how hard things may become….Learning how to stay in your lane…. Never worrying about what other businesses or ministry like yours are doing or wanting to be like them. Look forward and run your own race and make the legacy your own and not a copy of someone else. God doesn’t make duplicates no matter how similar you may seem to others. There is something inside of you or your ministry/business that is Different.

9: Do you have any regrets or is there anything that you would have done
differently in creating and operating PPM?

No, definitely no regrets. Even the hard times I endured only made me stronger, and because I am a hands-on person and have to experience things for myself, there was no other way to learn or understand than to go through it myself. Because of it, my faith has become stronger, and I know it’s no one else, but God, that has the magazine where it is today.

10: Where do you see PPM 5years from now?

10years? I see us impacting the world Internationally, touching lives all over and receiving testimonials from many how PPMwas used by God to minister to the nations, adding souls to the Kingdom. PPM will be a publication that will not only be, a reading material, but a material that will speak to one’s soul, telling them to keep running the race. In the end, we shall be rewarded greatly by the Father.

BOOK REVIEW

Often when we are faced with a dilemma, we think "Why is God doing this to me?"" instead of wondering "What is God trying to say and teach me through it?" When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, we became a child of God and we feel we should have a easy life, no disruptions, everything going just fine, Well that"s not the way it is. Life is not a easy road and there is no easy way out of things. Throughout the Bible, we find mighty men of God petitioning God to be delivered from a hardship. As we face hardships in our life, many turn to behaviors that are self destructive... extra-marital affairs, drugs and alcohol, and many other pleasures of life. But when we reach the bottom, God is always there reaching out his hand to pull you back to him. As His child, God, at times, will place a "thorn" in your life. Maybe to keep you humble, or to make you aware of how you must rely and trust him or to discipline you for your self- destructive ways which will remain with you from then on.

"Completely Whole" is a self help book, but, in my opinion, more of a guide to help you along the way in your walk with God. In the thirteen short chapters one will find; how to be made whole, what is best for you, how not to look back on you past and other understanding meditations to help fulfill your life in Christ. With a powerful prayer after each chapter I feel the reader will get much satisfaction out of reading Ms. Harper's book "Completely Whole". Even though written for women, I feel a man will learn just as much from this book and his walk with God. Recommended for everyone.

My name is Emmanuel Brown I am webmaster, writer, and publisher of an anthology series called I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History.

What is the purpose for profile in black history?

The purpose of I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History is to promote positive aspects of Black Americans in the hopes of sharing enough positive images to overshadow the negative things that we see.

What is it that you want people to receive from your work or ministry?

I would like for people to receive inspiration that stretches the boundaries that we set for ourselves. I would like for I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History to open minds to new ideals that some of our young people have overlooked or never knew existed. It is up to each one of us to correct the mistakes in our society, preferably together, and it is up to us to use positive examples to create positive possibilities.

Who are you trying to reach and how do you get your message out?

The primary focus is disadvantaged teens and young adults, but the overall message is for people in general. I get my message out through writings on my blogs, through the I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History books, causes, groups, fan pages, word of mouth and through conversations that are one on one or sometimes in group settings. Although the books are available through Barnes and Noble, Amazon and a few other retail outlets; my focus is more basic because disadvantaged youth are not the biggest consumers to those types of businesses.

In order to reach them, I distribute the books to churches, community organizations, other authors, and business people that have contact with younger people to make sure that the books are seen by them. I spend time giving the books away to young people myself. I am also arranging book give away and I have begun with a youth home in Stockton, CA and a young ladies organization in Alabama. I am always looking for organizations and individuals that work with youth that will help spread the reach of the books.

What is your vision or passion?

My vision is to see more productivity and signs of common-unity. Less negative messages, visions, and actions. I understand that the world is not perfect, but I would like to focus more on the positive aspects and activities of life.

What new projects are you working on?

I am working on volume 4 of I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History, my upcoming autobiography, a campaign of mutual support that involves the media and building bridges with across the country.

Today I welcome Non-Fiction Author Deborah McCarragher to Empowered to Prosper.

Deborah, tell us about your publishing journey?

Deborah began her journey of creative writing soon after coming to know Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1989. She uses her spiritual gifts of encouragement and teaching in her home church. She is also a small business owner of over twenty years. Her primary goal is to share her personal testimony with others while bringing hope and practical help through her book. She and her husband have one married son serving in the US Military. They reside in north Florida.

Mission Possible is a unique book in the Christian marketplace. It addresses a subject that is often overlooked and misunderstood. It is a candid look at my struggles and quest to reach my husband for Christ. I became a believer seven years into our marriage, and this book is my personal testimony. It applies Scripture and biblical principles to everyday struggles encountered within a spiritually mismatched marriage. Mission Possible won the 2010 Readers Favorite Gold Seal Award for best Christian Non-Fiction book, and was nominated for the Christian Small Publisher’s Assoc. Book of the Year Award in 2009.

Tell us a little about your background.

I grew up in a Navy family and moved frequently as a child. I married my first husband right out of high school. That marriage ended in divorce four years later. I remarried in 1982 (to my current husband) and we’ve been married for 28 years. Seven years into our marriage, I gave my life to Jesus as Lord and Savior.

What inspired you to write this influential book?

I was involved with a local intercessory prayer group at the time, and was prompted by God during prayer to write down what He was conveying to me about my husband and his salvation. It was quite literally written while inspired, and without much effort on my part. I just typed on the computer as He led me to bible verses and topics to talk about. I remember writing down the names of the (7) chapters during prayer time on a tablet - just looking at them afterwards in awe. It was quite a moving experience.

What primary advice do you have for women who are married to "non-believing" husbands?

I think the most important advice is to have faith in Who God Is and His sovereignty. We can't "pre-package" our spouse's conversion experience, and God will always do what will bring Him the "most glory". We also have to remember that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. Our spouse (if unsaved) isn't governed by God's Spirit - so we have to release them from that accountability. We must have faith that rests in God and not in our own understanding, or by sight!

What kinds of reactions has the book generated thus far?

I have had great reaction to my little book. Some women love it because it is not lengthy, and they can read it quickly - yet refer back to it over & over again. One woman emailed me a testimony that she was nearly ready to leave her husband, but after reading the book, felt that God was leading her to give her marriage another try. That was very humbling and gratifying for me. I just want to help women see that there is an alternative to being miserable in an unequally yoked marriage.

What's the main message that you'd like readers to take away from it?

I would love readers to discover that God has a plan for each marriage that is in spiritual disunity. It involves us, but it is always done HIS WAY! I want readers to know that it is a process that evolves over time, that we must not put God in a box, but give Him room to move in our spouse's life. They need to know that because we are not perfect and continue to sin, that satan will try to discourage and influence us (women) to believe that our "mission" is not possible - but with God, all things are possible!

Any final thoughts you'd like to share?

Just that I know how difficult it is to be married to a spouse who doesn't share your love and devotion to the Lord Jesus. I, like many of my readers, get frustrated and disillusioned, but I know God has perfect timing and our best interests at heart overall. He wants our spouses to come to a saving knowledge of Him and embrace a future together that brings glory to Him.

Welcome Theresa. So glad you have stopped by.

Please introduce yourself, then tell us how you got started writing. My name is Theresa Franklin. My husband and I live in Beaumont, TX where we raised our three children. I taught school for 12 years and then went into administration for 12 years. I retired last year. I have always loved writing and reading. I taught both in my classes. Even my first graders were taught to write stories. Every Wednesday was Creative Writing Day and the students looked forward to it. I had always dreamed of writing books, but didn’t have the time while the children were growing up and I was teaching school. The last year I worked in the school, I decided that it was time to write. I began writing children’s books.
Most of which I consulted the school psychologist about the subject matter. Children with disabilities have my heart, so a lot of my stories are about living with a disability. I also write about such things as death, divorce, and remarriage for children. The reality is that our children must deal with these adult issues and few books give them the necessary tools. I try to do that in my stories. I also write stories just for fun. Some stories were taken from my children’s adventures when they were growing up.

What have you published and what is your current project?

I have published the children’s books A Sunny Tomorrow, an e-format book which is a collection of 19 Christian-based stories. Don’t Forget Daddy is a children’s book about a little girl who must learn to accept a step-father. Journey to Fulfillment is the testimony of my emotional struggle to come to grips with some painful events in my life. In the book, I also help the adult reader to understand or turn the stumbling blocks into stepping stones.

As a writer of faith, what is your philosophy on marketing? I have mixed feelings about marketing. I do understand that the story is mine and no one can sell it like me, but I do believe that publishers should help market it. It is frustrating for an author, especially a new one, to receive an email from the publisher with a list of ‘contacts you might want to connect with’. If I were the publisher, I would make the contacts and then have the author follow up. A contact from a publisher gives the author much more status than a personal contact. Imagine yourself as the owner of a bookstore. You receive two calls in one day. First call, “Hi, I wrote a book and I wanted to know if you will let me come to your bookstore and sell it.” Second call, “Hi, I am from ABC Publisher and I have an author that I think you would be interested in hosting for a book signing.” Which author would you want in your store?

Tell us about a "God incident" related to your writing. My adult book Journey to Fulfillment was precipitated by an emotional crisis that I experienced. After the initial shock, God impressed upon me that these painful events in my life had helped to shape my principles and convictions. In essence, they helped make me who I am today. Then He gave me the title Journey to Fulfillment.

What are your hopes/dreams for the future? I hope to continue writing and helping children and adults navigate this rough terrain we call life. My husband hopes for grandchildren, but we will see.

What advice would you give to someone just beginning to write and wanting to publish? I write what I know and from my heart. So that is what I would say to anyone beginning to write. On getting published? After I had written Journey to Fulfillment, let others read and edit it, edited it myself, and rewrote it for what seemed like the 14^th time, I was ready to submit it. I opened the website of my preferred publisher, but fear gripped me and I could not click ‘submit’. I called my husband into the room and asked him to pray with me. He got down on his knees, held my hand and prayed for God to bless this book and use it for His honor and glory. So I would say: pray, pray, pray.

Hi Anita, welcome to Empowered to Prosper. Please introduce yourself, then tell us how you got started writing.

My name is Anita Estes, and I’ve been writing since I was a teenager. I started writing poetry and kept a journal. When I became a Christian I began writing articles and devotions, then I started writing children’s stories when I became a teacher and a mother. As I grew in the Lord, I progressed to writing inspirational stories and had my work published. I wrote my first book of stories and devotionals six years ago when I was invited to be a speaker at a women’s conference (WIN). They wanted me to have a book available of my work.

What have you published and what is your current project?

I have written a number of devotions and short stories that have been published in “Upper Room”, Penned form the Heart, Adam’s Media Books, God Allows U-Turns: for Women, Cup of Comfort Book of Prayer, and Deliver Me! I have three books published, When God Speaks, 40 Days and Nights of His Promises, which is a story format devotional with an accompanying Bible Study work book.

My next book I compiled and edited was Transformed—Inspiring Stories of Freedom, a book of testimonies about men freed from the bondage of addictions.

My recent release, Letters to God on a Prodigal Son—Overcoming Addiction Through Prayer was birthed from the painful journey I experienced while navigating the minefield of my son’s addiction

I kept a journal that contained many powerful prayers, letters and scriptures that I thought would help others navigate the turbulent waters of a prodigal’s addiction, so I worked on transforming it into a book. I added two sections, Lessons Learned and Suggestions that I thought would further help others to avoid some of the pitfalls I experienced, while offering a lifeline of hope. At the time my son was going through this terrible ordeal, I couldn’t find any Christian books on the subject that gave practical and spiritual, not textbook, advice. Letters to God, on a Prodigal Son was designed to fit this need. It’s filled with the heart-felt letters and prayers of a mother, key spiritual insights and practical advice. I’ve also written a novel, The Dividing Stone, which I plan on publishing in 2012. It is a spiritual warfare book with a historical slant involving angels, demons and an unsuspecting artist who is drawn into a battle for her life to rescue the lives of other Christians.

What do you hope this book accomplishes and who is this book written for?

First I want to reach out to parents of prodigals and let them know there is hope. I especially want to let them know that God has not abandoned them, nor is he punishing them. God is compassionate and there to help, but he doesn’t trespass our will. I want to show parents and loved ones that it’s okay to be honest with God. He desires that. I also want to reach out not only to parents and loved ones of prodigals, but to everyone who is dealing with a difficult relationship or situation. I believe the prayers and scriptures in Letters to God are powerful for “pulling down strong holds” ( ) in people’s lives—areas of bondage.

Do you have a “life verse” that you have claimed? If so what is it and why is that verse so meaningful to you?

I have many verses throughout my life that I have felt a particular affinity to, but none as much as Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” I thought I knew about trusting God until my son had a problem with addiction. I learned to truly trust God with everything, even when circumstances looked bleak. He taught me how to keep my eyes on Him, and how to surrender to him. I also learned a lot about praising Him in the storm, another facet of trusting. I firmly believe that if you “Delight in the LORD, (and) he will give you the desires of your heart (Proverbs 37:4).

What do you want reader’s to come away with?

All my non-fiction books and articles are written to either help Christian’s grow in their spiritual walk with God or to reach those who are hurting and hurl them a lifeline in their storm. My books lean heavily on the power of prayer and God’s amazing compassion, mercy and love. I want others to intimately know the awesome God I know and the power of praying His promises. My fiction work is also spiritual in nature, filled with mystery and intrigue. I want to alert Christians to the enemy’s tactics so they can avoid his traps and use prayer as a powerful weapon. All of my writing is geared to coming away with a fuller understanding of God, His promises, and the transforming power of prayer.

What one issue ignites your passion?

Prayer and an intimate relationship with God are my two deepest passions. I want others to know how much God really cares for us and wants to know us. He gives us so many great gifts nestled in His promises. I want others to know how they can avail themselves of these treasures and go deeper with God. It is my desire to help others who face life’s challenges to know and understand how they can be victorious—in Jesus.
